We are a Mining Services Provider set up to deliver a new approach to Contract Mining.

We aim to deliver a service that adds value to our client’s projects without the adversarial nature of traditional contract mining.

This is done by providing bespoke and transparent tenders that display a deep understanding of our client’s particular needs and pressure points. Post contract award we then apply an unprecedented level of care and attention to ensure that project execution by far exceeds our client’s expectations.

Throughout all stages of a mining contract we work diligently with our clients to promote communication and transparency as the foundation stones to build long term trust and partnership in a way that hasn’t been done by mining contractors before.

Our Markets are the entire African continent stretching through to Australia and beyond. We believe our strategy to explore unrealised markets in Africa, Middle East and those still to be explored is fundamentally integral to the future success of the global economy

For our initial growth phase we are focused on West Africa where we are headquartered in Freetown, Sierra Leone. We have also registered the business in Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal and Guinea but we basically view the entire continent as our marketplace.

We are strong believers in the future of the African continent. Africa is the home to many of the world’s fastest growing economies as a result of governments being able to successfully implement far reaching economic and political reforms. At Junction we can see that there is now a solid recognition across Africa that effective governance is integral to sustainable economic development. We can see that changes are occurring rapidly and that the economies of Africa have a bright future.

Add to this a potent mix of the youngest populations on the planet with their abundance of energy, vibrant ideas and an ability to tap into and drive enabling technologies coupled with a global connectivity that is opening up markets like never before and it is clear to us at Junction that Africa is going to be a considerable center for global investment in the future and that we need to be part of that story.

All of our Directors are either African or have strong African experience. In our careers before Junction, we have managed some of the biggest and most significant mining projects on the continent. We have all worked for mining contractors previously and we have seen the good, the bad and the downright ugly of mining contracting. We have seen contracts that have been highly successful and we have seen contracts that are adversarial in nature where everyone loses. Our understanding of contract mining and what drives success is deep. We know that at the heart of a successful mining contract lies trust that stems from transparency and open communication. These are the principals on which our business was established.

We strongly believe that there is currently no mining contractor on the continent that is truly adding value to their clients. In fact, we believe that the majority of our competitors are actually value destroying. Junction was set up to exploit this gap in the market and to provide a service the likes of which has not been seen before in Africa.

We are ready and willing to work with clients right across Africa no matter if they are junior explorers or established producers. We believe that given the opportunity we will be able to provide value and work to make our clients and their projects successful.

We are able to deliver bespoke tenders that are focussed on adding value. We will never engage in “cookie cutting” tendering. For us each tender is an opportunity to assist a client and provide service.

Full disclosure can be given with regard to the estimate’s build up. Client’s will have full access to the estimate and how it works and how it is built up including margin.

Junction recognises the critical importance of leadership in any mining operation. We have the experience, the track record and the ability to drive accountability to all levels of our business to ensure that we deliver on all of our obligations.

  • One of our Directors will always be stationed at our projects to ensure that it performs.
  • Our Directors are personally invested in Junction. Any contract we undertake must have a positive outcome for our client.
  • The workforce is exposed to modern training and business improvement methods.
  • The expensive FIFO expatriate model is “outdated” and reduces the added value component. It is not part of our business model.
  • The leadership group is drawn from a network of highly experienced, internationally & nationally experienced and seasoned nationals.
  • Our Directors all have extensive experience in Africa and have a good understanding of the issues.
  • Our execution model is based on the funding and supply of new equipment into projects.
  • Our Directors have a strong international network that is tapped into the financial sector.
